ACTA
Mr. Chichester abstained on the vote on ACTA. It was defeated.
Data Protection Regulation
Mr. Chichester has put forward numerous amendments to the General Data Protection Regulation which have been shown to be broadly lifted from lobby recommendations from organisations such as the American Chamber of Commerce and corporations such as Amazon and eBay. Alongside Malcolm Harbour MEP and Sajjad Karim MEP, Mr. Chichester is considered to be one of the most 'copy-and-paste' MEPs on this Regulation. He is estimated to have provided over 22% of copied amendments.
He refused to comment on the allegations.
