Cyber and Government Security Directorate

The Cyber and Government Security Directorate (CGSD) is a unit within the Cabinet Office that "sets cyber and protective security policy right across government, nationally and internationally". It is responsible for the National Cyber Security Strategy, National Cyber Security Programme and finding for the National Cyber Security Centre.

It consists of about 50 people and sits within the Cabinet Office National Security Secretariat.
