Nominet/direct.uk proposal
< Nominetdirect.uk proposal
In October 2012 Nominet launched a consultation for a "direct.uk" proposal to allow the creation of new second-level-domains under uk. The proposal included support for DNSSEC and Nominet's policing of website content, such as active malware scanning, as a condition of domain services. A summary of responses is due to be published 2013-02-26. In a written answer to a parliamentary question, Ed Vaizey MP did not indicate any intervention by his department[1].
