Creative Content UK
Creative Content UK was launched in July 2014[1] and consists of two components: a media awareness campaign about copyright, and a Voluntary copyright alert programme to be implemented later in 2015.
Educational campaign
The government, through DCMS, has committed £3.5 million over three years[2] to the awareness/educational campaign due to launch before Spring 2015
Subscriber alerts
The alerts scheme (VCAP) involves ISPs (BT, Sky Broadband, TalkTalk and Virgin Media, with the prospect of other ISPs joining at a later stage) send out up to four warning letters to each customer a year if their accounts have been identified as being used to breach copyright laws.
File sharing networks are monitored for infringing content by agents commissioned by the BPI and MPA and timestamps and IP addresses are provided to the ISPs for action.
