Parliamentary Questions

Parliamentary Questions come in different forms, including oral questions that can lead to a short debate.

Written questions are placed by MPs to ministers to establish basic facts. They are similar in intent to FoI requests, but can technically be broader.

In practice, their usefulness tends to be limited, as there is a culture of answering them as narrowly as possible.
