Open Government

Definition

"Open Government" is the concept that the electorate have the right to access data regarding the internal workings of the government. It has been heavily influenced by the open source movement, and also includes related provisions such as allowing the electorate to participate freely in government business, and sharing information internally (as well as with the outside world) to improve efficiency.[1]
