Hack Night ideas

'Law' Hacking

  • Looking at the work on Privacy Icons to assess
    • If they cover all aspects of site terms of use of which we'd like consumers to be aware
    • If the designs proposed so far convey their ideas properly and would work in badge size like CC icons (need some design skillz for this!)
  • Trying to find examples of blatantly unenforceable terms of use used by websites
  • Compiling index of file hosts and their DMCA / copyright protection policies (this is important because showing that rightsholders do not make use of options currently open to them would be an argument against taking more indiscriminate and wide-ranging steps like site blocking).
