Vodafone Content Control
(Redirected from Internet censorship by Vodafone)Vodafone Content Control is the internet filter automatically applied to Vodafone mobile phones in the UK. Customers over the age of 18 must prove their age to Vodafone to have it removed.
According to Vodafone[1] it restricts access to "Chat and dating services, Erotica, Gambling, Violent games" in reality, however, the categories blocked are far broader - e.g. it blocks the website of the Tor Project.
The categorisation is provided by Symantec[2], and formally by Blue Coat Systems[3]
