Davenport Lyons

Davenport Lyons is a London-based law firm.

Between 2007-2009 it was involved in mass letter writing complains on behalf of copyright owners which threatened court action against accused infringers unless they volunteered compensation, as practise commonly known as speculative invoicing. It dropped this practice in 2009[1] but it is reported that some staff involved had moved to another firm, ACS:Law, that had begun to use the approach.
