Career

Baroness Julia Neuberger served as Chief Executive of King's Fund, independent health charity (2004). She was Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Health (2004-07) and Prime Minister's Champion for Volunteering (2007-10). Ms. Neuberger serves as Consultant of Rabbi, South London Liberal Synagogue. She serves as trustees of Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health and Member of Central Ethical Compliance Group, Unilever. She is a Honorary Fellow, Royal College of Physicians. She serves as Director of Vhi Healthcare and as member of Medical Research Council.

Education

Baroness Neuberger was educated at Newnham College, Cambridge and Leo Baeck College, London.

Other

She is the author of several books on Judaism, women, healthcare ethics and on caring for dying people. ‘Not Dead Yet – a Manifesto for old age’ was published by Harper Collins in May 2008 and her latest book ‘Is that all there is? Thoughts on the meaning of life and leaving a legacy’ was published by Rider Books in June 2011.
