Symantec RuleSpace is a web categorisation product first developed in 1996 (and acquired by Symantec in 2010). The categorisation is, apparently, automated using what Symantec refers to as the Automated Categorization System (ACS).

It is used as the base for content filtering by many UK service providers.

Symantec WebPulse is based on the website categorisation from Blue Coat systems that Symantec purchased in 2016.
