All Party Parliamentary Communications Group

All Party Parliamentary Communications Group (apComms) is an all-party parliamentary group formed in July 2007 from the merger of several other all-party groups: The All Party Parliamentary Group on Communications, The All Party Parliamentary Group on Mobile Communications (apMobile) and The All Party Internet Group (APIG). Its purpose is to provide a discussion forum between the communications industry and parliamentarians.

Prospect (a trade union) acts as the group’s secretariat, with assistance from Political Intelligence (a consultancy), who provide secretariat support on an ad hoc basis without charge and also organises and an annual conference on behalf of the group, the cost of which is met through sponsorship from Nominet.

Beyond the Parliament and Internet Conference in October, there has been little publicised activity of the group in 2012.
